Bits and Pieces
The kitchen drawers are done! We used some of the left over tongue and groove from the ceiling. Knobs are from Target.
And dad made me this awesome cabinet for my bathroom. It fits perfectly into the tiny space between the shower and wall. I think I will be getting some more baskets for my stuff though. I don't like having products sitting out loose. Looks sloppy to me.
I've been in and settled for over a week now and I love it! The recent snow makes me feel like a squirrel in a nest.

Ladder
Done.
Since library ladders are so ridiculously expensive we decided to make one instead. It has 2 sets of hooks the big ones on the outside are for when its 'down' and a smaller set on the inside to hook it up and out of the way. I think it turned out really well. Take a look!

Move In Day
...was last Wednesday! I've been super busy since then. But I have to say, it's fabulous. So peaceful!
My bed is moved in with my new duvet so comfy!
And On Saturday at our Theft of Swords book club at Gwen's the girls surprised me with the coolest present ever. No kidding! Sonic screwdriver remote control. So awesome!!! My tv isn't hooked up so I can't program it for that yet but I did program it to control my heater and since it has 3 memory banks I can add the tv later.
And on Thursday Spangrud surprised me with a super cool TARDIS decal for my door.
My house is so perfect.

Upholstery
And the closets are done! It's REALLY hard to take pictures in the house because its so little, but I think the one of the couch is pretty good.
And notice the drapes are tied up? They are done! I might add some interest in the corners where the hook up but for now they are functional and cute.

Window Treatments
They're not really done yet but will only take a few minutes to put the dowels in and finish them up. I have a fabulous idea for how to tie them up during the day.
Dad put up the ladder rail today. It's a repurposed handle from a commercial glass door and it looks awesome!

Kitchen!
The list of Things To Do Before I Move In just got a little shorter today.
The water and propane are hooked up!
AND the kitchen cupboards and the shelf for the microwave are done. All that is left to do in the kitchen is the drawers.
After that all we need is the loft ladder and a little finishing up in the closets. And to hang the window treatments and reupholster the couch, then I'm good to go, should be moved in by next week, whoo hoo!

Moving In
Tomorrow the house is scheduled to be moved to its final (for now) location on the property. I've already started moving some stuff out there.
Also been making a list of what I'll need to move in. Stuff like food, cleaning supplies, dishes and utensils. Oy! Setting up house is expensive!

Bestest Present Ever!
Katie and I went shopping last Thursday and I picked up a bunch of cool stuff. Most of it was stuff I really need like a toilet brush, toilet paper holder and bathroom soap dispenser. But one cool thing really caught my eye and I just had to have it.
Katie carried it up to the register for me but before I could grab my card she bought it for me!!
It's perfect for showing off my ren fest stuff. I adore it! It makes my home so... Me!

Countertop and Closet Doors
We're so close to being done. This last week has been dragging by but we still made progress.
The countertop is on. Did I forget to mention the cooktop is also hooked up? Been tested too, it, along with the propane fueled water heater work great!
The thresholds are down. (No pic)
And closet doors went up today, with my super cute Aslan door pulls.
Also I've started moving in. Got storage boxes from ikea for my hobby stuff. So that's all up in the storage loft now. And today I moved my bookcase into the utility room. Will put some pics up soon.
All that's left to do is cupboard doors and drawers.
This weekend we're moving it and hooking it up to the waterline and septic system. Wowza! So close!

Built in Bench
Dad found this bench at one of his job sites and got permission to take it home. It's pretty much exactly what we were going to build but it's already made. So super cool. Just REALLY needs reupholstering. But that's easy.

Septic Stuff
After finishing the loft ceiling we've moved outside to do the septic system, water, and power line. All I know about it is it was expensive and I never want to touch a shovel again...

More Color and a Door!
We have been cruising along on the house lately. Today I painted my bathroom and utility room and when dad got home from work we did three of the four remaining angles on the loft ceiling.
SO close to being done with the loft, but we ran out of lumber. We're estimating 10 more boards will be enough to finish off the loft and make the two closet doors. Speaking of doors...
Inside the bathroom with my new 'slight yellow' paint. Had to stand in the shower to get a shot of the door, wall and window. Think I need as fish eye lens on my iphone...

The bathroom door is up! And you can see how good the loft looks in this, AND notice the framing around the utility room door? Decided that made it look more finished. The utility room is painted 'submarine' grey, crappy name, cool color. Also put up the facing board on my sleeping loft. It's really starting to look like a house now. My house. :)

Kitchen Counter
Can't think of a creative title, had too much to drink last night. :(
House is really getting done! 99% of trim work is done. Bathroom door is constructed. And very excitingly the kitchen cabinets are under construction. Just started last night and they look awesome already.

Here you can see my handy dandy bathroom heater. It's so effective I don't really need another heater.
Not bad for a day's work!
