Bathroom and Closet

Sounds like an obscure style journal, but it's really just what we've constructed since last post.

I now have BOTH my closets built and sheetrocked.

My itty bitty utility room (right) and my bathroom walls are built and sheetrocked except...

Half of the interior of my bathroom is tongue and groove pine, like my ceilings.

And my shower is in! It's so flippin perfect. It's 32'' x 32'' Maax the Mediterranean model. Fits perfectly and is roomy enough to be comfortable for daily use.

Can't believe how fast it's going, and how fast my money is going too! So I applied for and GOT a job cleaning on Wednesdays. This is kinda my first real job working for someone. We'll see how it goes, right now I just really need the $ tho. So I'm willing to work for it.

Style Shift

All along I have been picturing my tiny house with knotty pine plank siding on the interior. Like a spa or a cabin or an apartment (flat?) in Europe. Or how I would picture an apartment in Europe anyway.

When it came down to it it turns out that kind of siding is a bit cost prohibitive. So dad suggested drywall. After about 10 minutes of reworking my mental image of my house I started to get really excited about it.

The ceilings, trim, lofts, and flooring will still be that light pine. But my walls can be, well, any color I like! I already have the main room color picked out and a good idea of what I want for the other 2 rooms, but I'll let that be a surprise for you.

We are making steady progress on the house now that things have cooled down temp wise. We've sheetrocked the interior, finished the ceiling in the bathroom and utility room, built the utility room wall, and just today built the first closet.

And quite exciting for me was painting the inside of my door TARDIS blue!

Insulation

We finally bit the bullet and hired some guys to come out and do the spray foam insulation. It was $1500. total but they did a REALLY good job. Even pointed out some things that we didn't think of and fixed them. Love to meet people who are so good at their job.
Here's my sleeping loft. Looks like the frosting fairy paid a visit eh?

Looks so cool!

Looking toward my front door. Notice the floor is in too. Did it all on Wednesday.

Next step is walls. Going to Menards tomorrow, can't wait!!
