Lights!

The lights are finally up and working. I'm really happy with them too. Picked up the wire and everything we need to hook it up so we can work after dark now. Very handy since the days are getting so much shorter.

Also have a pic of my 100% finished floor. No more flooring to do yay!

We have 1 window let to trim and all the floor/ceiling moulding to do. Shouldn't take more than a day.

Weekend Progress

Another busy weekend and some good progress made!

 

The center beam in the main room is up and the lighting is (mostly) figured out. It was super complicated because of the 3 way switch. You can also see the wall and flooring in the small loft is done.

Here's a close up. You can see the strip of blue foam, that will have a trim piece over it. You can't have it tight to the wall because it's a floating floor and if you have it snug it will expand and buckle.

My sleeping loft now has ALL it's walls done. In this pic only the back one is up, but we did the others Saturday. Still have to trim the windows and do the ceiling. NOT looking forward to the ceiling. Weird angles and all.

Also not pictured is the entire floor downstairs is done, and the windows in the main room are trimmed.

We were working on figuring out the wiring for the lights tonight and had a construction light hooked to an extension cord in there because it was getting dark. I have to say the pine lit up at night is so pretty and homey looking...I love my house!

Floors and Whatnot

Never did find the bathroom faucet so ended up buying a new one. :/ It was a pain to install but I got it in ok and it looks nice!

The front loft wall is done and the window is trimmed, all that's left to do up there is the flooring. No pic, it was too back lit for my phone and I didn't have my camera with me. Looks great though.

Trimmed some windows. It went easy but had to quit after just two because it was getting late. It's a bit frustrating to only have a few hours at the end of the day to work on the house.

And the flooring is going in. I would have preferred white maple, but this light oak was less than half the price so that won me over real quick!

It's starting to look like a house inside and not just a construction project. :)

I DO Give a Crap about my House

And now I have a toilet to make that more convenient!

And a sink too! Although the sink fixtures are MIA. Also have the lights in the bath and utility room done, and the whole house is now deviced. Apparently that is the tech term for wiring in the outlets and switches.

Oh yes and the bath floor is in AND the tankless heater! Whew! Lots happened this week...

Tongue & Groove

Well! Been a bit busy lately. Tongue & groove ceiling is in in the main room and front loft!

The guys took the door off so they didn't ding it up while coming and going, but I wanted it back on before dark because I didn't want kitty Oscar to go in and spray.

Also picked up the bathroom flooring yesterday. Hopefully will go in soon.
The tankless heater is mounted, just need to finish hooking it up.

It's going quick but there's still a lot to do!
